Following his impressive english-language debut with the dystopian sci-fi Snowpiercer, South Korean director Bong Joon-ho is set to reunite with star Tilda Swinton for his follow-up, the mysterious monster movie project Okja. And like Snowpiercer, Bong’s new multilingual film is looking to cast a slew of well-known, english-speaking stars, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Kelly Macdonald and Bill Nighy.

According to The Wrap, Bong is eyeing Gyllenhaal, Dano, Macdonald and Nighy to join the ensemble cast of Okja, the director’s second monster movie after his acclaimed 2006 South Korean flick The Host. While plot details for Okja are scarce, it is said to be a multilingual film featuring a Korean lead actress with english-speaking supporting stars. Swinton previously confirmed her reunion with Bong for the upcoming film, while no other cast members have officially signed on just yet.

The english-speaking cast members will be featured in scenes set in New York, while further details are unknown at this time. Bong previously assembled an incredible cast for his english-language debut, Snowpiercer, which followed Chris Evans as the leader of the revolution in a class war set on a train in a dystopian future. The film also starred Swinton, John Hurt, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Ed Harris and Alison Pill, and proved Bong can not only work well with english-speaking actors, but that his intensely great skills translate well for American audiences.

Okja is set to begin filming early next year, so hopefully it’s not too long before we learn more about Bong Joon-ho’s latest.
