Though very little has been shared about Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer offerings, Infinity Ward has revealed there will indeed be a cooperative component in the upcoming entry in the yearly franchise.

Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare series featured a co-op mode called Spec Ops, and with the developer back in the rotation this year, fans were eager to know if the mode would return (Treyarch's Black Ops series does not have Spec Ops). Community coordinator Candice Capen first revealed the news on Twitter.

@doyneamite@markderidder we'll have a cooperative mode of sort, but we're not announcing it yet and I've no clue when/if we will

Obviously there's little detail in that tweet about what that means, there's a chance Spec Ops could return. Infinity Ward may also seek another direction for its co-op, and there might be some sort of co-op story component as well. Until the developer has more to share, we'll all be eagerly awaiting the details on just what Ghosts multiplayer offerings will look like.
