Consumers appear to be in favor of the changes Microsoft has made to its Xbox One policies, but there are a vocal few out there who believe the 180 was a bad decision. The outspoken Cliff Bleszinski, former director at Epic Games, has weighed in with his opinions.

Cliff's entire diatribe took place on his Twitter, where he answered queries from fans about his thoughts on Microsoft's incredibly abrupt change of heart. "More studios WILL close and you’ll see more PC and mobile games," Bleszinski posited.

He also offered more predictions, including the return of some other trends gamers have had mixed feelings about this past generation. “Brace yourselves. More tacked on multiplayer and DLC are coming,” Bleszinski added. “You’re also about to see available microtransactions skyrocket. HATS FOR EVERYONE."

Cliff also believes there might be some sort of digital incentive plans coming to lure gamers into buying non-physical copies. “You’re going to see digital versions of your favorite games with added “features” and content to lure you to digital over disc based," he stated. That doesn't sound so bad to us.

Whether or not Cliff's predictions come true remains to be seen, but he may have a better idea of what lies ahead than most other internet pundits. We can only hope his prediction about more studio closures is dead wrong. The rest we're pretty sure we can live with until a truly developer- and consumer-friendly option arrives.
