Comic-Con 2014: The Green Ranger’s Sweet-Sounding Dragon Flute Heads for San Diego
Whether it was the announcement of a new feature-length ‘Power Rangers‘ movie or just some massive wave of nostalgia settling in, we have those morphin’ teenagers with attitude on the brain. Now, Bandai, the purveyor of incredible ‘Power Rangers’ products, announced their exclusives coming to Comic-Con 2014, and among them is one spectacular item that’ll have diehard ‘Rangers’ fans looking to drop some green.
While we’ve already detailed some of the coolest products and toys being offered at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Bandai recently announced their Limited Edition Legacy Dragon Flute, which comes with gold-plated details and those famous sound effects Tommy used to summon his Dragonzord in the original TV series. This collector’s item retails for $150, but only 1,000 of them are available, so make sure you head to Booth 121 as soon as possible.
In addition, Bandai is offering a couple more ‘Power Rangers’-themed items, including the Limited Edition Vinyl Green Ranger action figure and a Ranger Key Set, the latter of which includes all seven Rangers, each exhibiting a different effect when placed on Bandai’s Deluxe Legendary Morpher (sadly, it’s sold separately).
The Vinyl Green Ranger retails for $25, while the Ranger Key Set goes for $30.
Non-’Power Rangers’ fans shouldn’t be deterred by Bandai’s Comic-Con exclusives, though, as the company is also offering a 60th anniversary Godzilla figure, which comes with packaging that folds into a backdrop of the beast’s stomping grounds. ‘Big Hero 6‘ is also making an appearance, though photos of the upcoming First Edition Baymax action figure are unavailable. However, Bandai details the figure as follows:
This six-inch-tall First Edition Baymax action figure is armored up for flight and might, where he comes to life with a powerful punching feature straight from the movie. To help him defeat evil, just pull his fist back and let it fly! Baymax comes in exclusive premium packaging with metallic paint decoration on the figure.
The Baymax figure will be available only at Disney’s ‘Big Hero 6′ booth, #3635A, and it can only be purchased (retails for $30) on Sunday. Tickets for prospective buyers will be distributed at the Con from Thursday through Sunday.
