After the mental exhaustion of pondering the reality of a 'Better Call Saul' spinoff from 'Breaking Bad,' we're thrilled to have a bit of unrelated good news. 'Community' season 5 will return to its roots in bringing back 'The Daily Show' vet John Oliver as displaced professor Ian Duncan, even if Troy isn't around to have his question finally answered!

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news Oliver's return, confirming that the British comedian-correspondent will guest in a generous six episodes of the upcoming season. Oliver had previously guested among the first and second seasons of the cult NBC comedy, disappearing throughout the third and fourth in such a manner that saw "Intro to Felt Surrogacy" referencing the absence with Troy's "has anyone notice Professor Duncan hasn’t been around in a long time?”

Elsewhere, ‘Community’ season 5′s likely 2014 return will see ‘Justified‘ star Walton Goggins guest as a mysterious man who causes trouble for the Greendale gang, while ‘Breaking Bad”s Jonathan Banks will take a significant recurring role as a new criminology professor from. Comedian Rob Corddry will return as Jeff’s lawyer-rival Alan Connor, while returning showrunner Dan Harmon revealed at Comic-Con 2013 his intent to draft a second Dungeons & Dragons-themed episode. Chevy Chase will not return for the fifth season, and star Donald Glover will take a reduced five-episode role to develop his own FX series, ‘Atlanta.’

Well, what say you? Celebrate 'Community' season 5 with John Oliver's return in the comments, and tell us what you want to see from the Greendale gang next year!
