Cosplay of the Day: ‘Labyrinth’ Goblin King
Are you guys ready for a little nostalgia bomb? Check out this guy's amazing cosplay of David Bowie's Goblin King character from the Jim Henson classic, 'Labyrinth.'
Today's Cosplay of the Day comes courtesy of Sandman-AC (aka Alessandro Casini), a photographer who has an awesome array of cosplay photos on his DeviantArt page. But we were really taken by these photos of Massimiliano Poggi (he's Italian, obviously) as Jareth the Goblin King from Jim Henson's 'Labyrinth' -- the role made famous by David Bowie and his inappropriately large-for-a-kids'-movie crotch bulge.
Poggi strikes several poses in this amazingly accurate costume, and we're impressed with how well he nails Bowie's facial expressions and mannerisms in these shots -- the dainty hand placement, the tilt of his head, and oh my word, can we talk about this hair?! It's so fantastic.
Check out these great pics of Poggi as Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King below and let your inner child swoon over how cool this is -- and then you can maybe summon him to take your crying baby brother away so you can enter a crazy labyrinth with talking worms and a Hoggle.
