DICE Talks New Battlefield 4 Vehicles, Sea Combat

Battlefield 4

The release of Battlefield 4 is inching ever closer, meaning that Battlefield fans will be able to jump into a whole new realm of multiplayer first-person shooter action. But they’ll also be able to jump into a bunch of all-new vehicles, which are the focus of a new series on the Battlefield Blog called “Ask DICE.”

The first Ask DICE features a brief Q&A on the subject of Battefield 4′s vehicles. One of the most notable hallmarks of the Battlefield games are the many available land, air and sea vehicles that players can use to wreak havoc on enemy teams and destroy buildings, so this is one topic that is sure to get fans pumped for the game.

When asked about what kinds of vehicles there are in Battlefield 4, the team lists just a few of the all-new Chinese vehicles that will be available, which include the following:

  • Type 99 MBT
  • ZFB-05 Armored Car
  • Z-9 Haitun Transport Heli
  • Z-10W Attack Heli
  • DV15 Interceptor Attack Boat
They also delve a little bit into the amphibious vehicles that will appear in the game, like the RCB-90 attack boat and jet-skis. Sea battles have a bigger role in this game and players will be more active in the waters, able to dive underwater or sprint-swim away from danger. The biggest new addition is the ability to use one-handed weapons and gadgets while floating around in the water.
Let us know what you think about the vehicles in Battlefield 4 and whether or not you’re looking forward to riding any of them when the game is released on Oct. 29 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will be released at a later date.
