Oscar season seems to be getting longer each year, with speculation picking up in earnest in September and continues until the ceremony itself is concluded. There is much less curiosity around the fan-voted MTV Movie Awards, which also make them more fun, and this year 'Django Unchained' and 'Ted' lead the pack of nominees.

Rebel Wilson will be hosting the April 14 event, where fans can vote for the winners. And though the 'Twilight' films previously dominated these awards, with no new 'Twilight' films due out it seems the MTV audience is less interested, and so the most recent film netted only one nomination. Also, no surprise, 'The Avengers' and 'The Dark Knight Rises' were nominated a lot.
