Along with drunken relatives, regret, and intolerable cheeriness, one thing about the holidays never fails to entertain: The 'Doctor Who' Christmas special!  This years' holiday outing for everyone's favorite Time Lord will introduce our new companion Clara ('Captain America's Jenna-Louise Coleman) as well as bring back a host of Whovian favorites.  We've already seen the pulse-pounding trailer for 'The Snowmen" and even a mini-sode preview, but how would you like to see the first photos of the Christmas special?

Geronimo indeed, 'Doctor Who' fans, for we're ready to leap from the precipice of Thanksgiving and dive into Christmas if if means getting to the 'Doctor Who' holiday special any sooner!  This year’s “The Snowmen” will see the introduction of Jenna-Louise Coleman’s new companion Clara (discounting her appearance in the series 7 premiere "Asylum of the Daleks"), taking place in Victorian times against a villainous Richard E. Grant and an army of evil snowmen.

The special will also feature guest star Tom Ward, along with returning characters Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Commander Strax (Dan Starkey), and Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart).  The details have been kept under wraps, but we've obtained five new photos cluing us in on what to expect!

Are you ready to meet the new companion, or are you still missing the Ponds?  What do you think will happen in this year's 'Doctor Who' Christmas special?  Check out the photos, and give us your predictions in the comments!
