New ‘Falling Skies’ Final Season Trailer Teases Military Big Bad
The fifth and final season of TNT’s alien action drama Falling Skies hasn’t shown us very much beyond the fast-paced alien killfest it’s known for, but with a June 28 premiere only a month away, the latest spot gives us a clue who might stand in the way of ultimate victory. Find out what side the U.S. Army is on by the latest trailer for new Falling Skies!
Things look pretty dour by the latest trailer for Falling Skies Season 5, as Anne (Moon Bloodgood) and others are seemingly black-bagged by a battalion of Army soldiers, atop all the usual carnage. It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen elements of the U.S. Government survive, but certainly among the more nefarious.
The official Season 5 press release at least strikes a more optimistic, take-charge kind of tone:
As season five opens, all breed of beast and mutant are running rampant on earth. The Espheni’s power core has been destroyed, and humans are now ready to fight on their terms, even if it means resorting to hand-to-hand combat against the enemy. After four years of being tortured, imprisoned and mutated and having their loved ones stolen from them, Tom and the 2nd Mass are filled with rage, ready to destroy the enemy in an all-out battle to determine the fate of Earth.
Falling Skies Season 5 premieres on Sunday, June 28, but by the above trailer, we’d be very worried for the final year.
