‘Falling Skies’ Season 2 Has More Unanswered Questions For You
We're less than a week away from the season 2 premiere of TNT's underrated post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama 'Falling Skies,' and already its hard to believe that near of a year has passed since the show ended on its tense cliffhanger. Now that time has passed for both the viewers and the characters, what other unanswered questions remain before the big season 2 premiere this Sunday?
We really can't stress enough that TNT's Spielberg-produced science-fiction actioner 'Falling Skies' is well worth your time, and doesn't quite get the attention it deserves, apart from some baseless 'Walking Dead' comparisons. The action is crisp, the characters sharp, and the drama fulfilling, and no one loses sight of the same child week after week. So won't you have a look?
For those unfamiliar with the series, ‘Falling Skies’ follows former history professor Tom Mason as one of the leaders of a human resistance force desperately struggling to fight back and survive in the aftermath of an alien invasion that killed off 90% of the planet’s population. In addition to protecting his children, one of whom spent time under the aliens’ thrall, Tom maintains a close relationship with the resistance’s doctor Anne Glass (Moon Bloodgood), as well as charismatic rogue John Pope (Colin Cunningham) and military leader Captain Daniel Weaver (Will Patton).
The first season left us with some sizable mysteries, as Tom boarded a Skitter vessel at the behest of a harnessed Karen, looking for information on what to do about his own son Ben's advancing condition. So what happened in those three months, what are the deeper mysteries of Skitter technology, and who can the remaining survivors trust? Check out the exploration of both questions below, and tell us if you'll tune in for the new season of 'Falling Skies' when it premieres on TNT Sunday, June 17 with a two-hour showing!
