'Girls' star Allison Williams is making the jump the big screen, and it looks like Fox has her on their wishlist to star in their 'Fantastic Four' reboot as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman. Here's why we think this could be good thing.

Deadline has an interesting tidbit buried in some casting news -- they report that 'Girls' star Allison Williams has been cast in a Shakespearean-inspired film called 'Rosaline,' but more interesting is the note that Williams is on Fox's shortlist to star in 'Fantastic Four' as Sue Storm, the role played in two previous films by Jessica Alba.

The reboot is being directed by 'Chronicle' helmer Josh Trank, based on a script that's currently being revised by Seth Grahame-Smith ('Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,' 'Dark Shadows'). Fox is currently aiming for a 2015 release date, so it's not terribly early to start hearing about casting rumors, especially since the script seems to be close to finished -- if it hasn't already been approved.

Williams plays the uptight and superficial Marnie on 'Girls' but it would be nice to see her flex her acting muscles with something more dynamic. She's definitely got the looks for a superhero role, and Sue Storm would be one hell of a big break for the actress who, up until recently, was mostly known for being the daughter of NBC news anchor Brian Williams.

What do you think? Would Allison Williams make a solid addition to the 'Fantastic Four' reboot? Who else should star as Mr. Fantastic, The Thing and Human Torch?
