Batman vs. Superman is just about two months away and the marketing onslaught is about to begin. Here, in the calm before the storm, though we have the very first clip from Batman vs. Superman. Zack Snyder debuted the new footage on Conan last night and while it didn’t feature any superhero punching, it did tease the simmering tension between our two heroes.

The clip is an extended riff on the “Do you bleed?” bit from the trailer, which you’ve seen before. The line seemed a little awkward and stilted out of context and in context — Superman basically tells him to never respond to the Bat signal again — it’s not much better. Maybe Batfleck will just take some getting used to, and if that’s the case, we haven’t quite gotten used to it yet. Ben Affleck certainly looks the part as the cocky playboy Bruce Wayne, but as the gruff and gritty Batman, we’re just not completely sold yet.

The good news is that in the coming weeks, we’ll have much more from Batman vs. Superman to fully form our opinions on.

Batman vs. Superman opens in theaters on March 25, 2016.
