As one of the few announced launch titles for the Xbox One, a lot of attention has been given to Forza Motorsport 5. This week, the game's content director revealed Forza 5 would come in at full 1080p HD, while running at a smooth 60 frames-per-second.

In an interview with Gamespot, Turn 10's John Wendel talked a bit about the challenges of crafting a game like Forza 5 in time for the Xbox One launch. "I believe we're uniquely positioned to deliver on that challenge," Wendel said. "We're a huge epic game that's going to be running at 1080p, 60fps on the next-gen console, so it's an incredible opportunity on one hand, but you have to be incredibly flexible and agile and self-aware on the other hand."

Previous Forza titles never reached such combined visual standards. While Forza Motorsport 4 did hit 60fps, it only projected in 720p. Forza Horizons dropped back down to 30fps when it released last year, which means Forza 5 won't just look great standing still, the game will also look stellar in action.

There's still no release date in sight, but perhaps we'll learn more about when the Xbox One and Forza Motorsport 5 will be arriving during Microsoft's E3 press conference next week.
