While tonight's all new episode of 'Fringe's' final season "The Bullet That Saved the World" is certainly going to have most fans getting very verklempt, one thing they can only be happy about is the long-awaited return of Broyles! Yes, Lance Reddick will finally make his season 5 debut into the future-fied final season, as the Observers grow ever closer to tracking down the fugitives Peter, Olivia, Walter, Astrid and Etta. But as the final clip from tonight's episode teases, what side is he on?

Tonight's all-new 'Fringe,' the first in two weeks, brings with it a heavy dose of drama as the team battles it out with the Observers for the next piece of the puzzle to unlock Walter's plan, while Lance Reddick will return as the elder, ambiguous version of 'Fringe' director Broyles. The Hollywood Reporter obtained the first clip of Broyles' return, which leave things more than a little grey, figuratively speaking.

In it, Broyles enters to find Observer leader Captain Windmark looking over a recording of an earlier incident with Peter (which you can see here!), and piecing together how the Fringe team managed to evade capture so readily. Lance Reddick himself spoke of Broyles' return to THR as well, calling the reunion with the Fringe team a very emotional one:

It's been interesting to see how torn he is. His loyalty is always to humanity, the question is, how is that best served? We've already established that there is already an underground movement (aka the Resistance). The question is: How does Broyles really feel about that?

Reddick might remain coy for now, but you'll see for yourself when "The Bullet That Saved the World" debuts tonight! Check out the clip below, and tell us what you think of 'Fringe's' fifth and final season!
