'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' is starting to ramp up their marketing with its upcoming release  at the end of March, and we're always curious to see if there's new footage in the latest ads. Now there's two new TV spots that shows they know the tone and scenes their selling.

And frankly, it's mostly the same old, same old. Channing Tatum has a new line or two, but if you've watched the ads since last year (when a TV spot appeared during the previous Super Bowl), there's a lot of the same beats and moments you've seen before. The bike that turns into an explosive device, the cliff battle on ropes, and the appearance of Bruce Willis as General Joe Colton are going to be familiar.

That said, the tone and the music is fun, and we like what we see, even if we're a little reticent after the film was delayed nine months for 3D post-conversion.There's nothing here that suggests the film was heavily worked over, but a nine month delay for 3D conversion leaves us wondering if 3D was the only reason for the delay. Here's the film's synopsis:

A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with HASBRO and di Bonaventura Pictures, commences production on G.I. JOE: RETALIATION. In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence. The film stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson. Directed by Jon M. Chu, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner, from a screenplay by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe(R) characters.

And here are those TV spots. 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' will be in theaters March 29.
