Whatever your pleasure of Jon Snow truther theories, Game of Thrones gave us one hell of a major showdown at “Hardhome” this season, further upping the ante for Season 6 to deliver some incredible action. While we wait for this Friday’s Comic-Con panel however, a new video breaks down the complicated effects that went into the Wilding-Wight battle, Giants and all.

Spanish VFX company El Ranchito released a new five-minute video showing off the effects on every level, including smaller shots like Jon Snow’s merry band sailing up to Hardhome in the first place, before the real action breaks out. Then, the video moves through longer battle tracking shots comprised of multiple layers, both wide and focused, including the extensive work that goes into sharing the screen with a rampaging giant.

Meanwhile of Game of Thrones Season 6, we know that casting has begun on a number of other new roles, several of which suggest we’ll follow Samwell Tarly on his departure from the Night’s Watch, while others seemingly confirm we’ll pick up with George R.R. Martin’s discarded Iron Islands subplots. Apart from a list of directors, debate continually rages as to whether Kit Harington’s Jon Snow will participate in Season 6, as while cast and crew deny it, story logistics seemingly confirm scenes set at The Wall in Season 6.

Game of Thrones’ sixth year will presumably bring official cast announcements and more bonus footage at Comic-Con 2015, but take a look at the impressive video above, and relive the epic glory of “Hardhome” one more time.
