While we've attempted no short supply of ice cream and kittens to bring our mood up from 'Game of Thrones' Sunday bloodbath "The Rains of Castamere," our appreciation for the scene's execution (no pun intended) has not abated. One way to get through the depression? Go behind the scenes of the infamous Red Wedding, and read the original version by series creator George R.R. Martin!

As if you haven't already been cautioned against 'Game of Thrones' spoilers enough, we're still buzzing about the Red Wedding from Sunday's "The Rains of Castamere" that cost the lives of Robb and Catelyn Stark, their bannermen, and even the pregnant Lady Talisa. We've heard what the cast and crew have to say after the fact, but will it help at all to go behind the scenes and see the event dissected by showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss?

No, it only amplifies our horrible, horrible pain, but we still have one more episode of the season to look forward to! It could well lead to hugs, puppies, and a basket of sweet, sweet denial. If nothing else, Harper Collins UK posted the original Red Wedding chapter from George R.R. Martin's "A Storm of Swords" online to read, which proves just how much more horrible things could have been from Catelyn's personal point of view.

Relive the horror above and below, and give us your 'Game of Thrones' predictions for the finale in the comments!
