Anyone keeping up with HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ well knows that season 5 will be one of transition for many characters, in particular Arya, who was last seen boarding a ship toward a brand-new life in a foreign country. And while it’s hard to say exactly who Arya Stark will become when ‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 picks up in 2015, we at least know what she’ll look like, based on new concept art.

You’re warned of potential spoilers for ‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 from here on out (less so if you’ve already seen these set photos), but it seems Arya will be looking very different next year, when we pick up the character in Braavos. Entertainment Weekly managed to obtain a sketch of the character’s new wardrobe, as costume designer Michelle Clapton offered of the shift that “For so long she had to look like a boy. Even when [the disguise] was no longer necessary, it made no sense to change it [because] she was on the road.”

Of course, readers of George R.R. Martin‘s books well know what the future might hold in store for Arya Stark in Braavos, but given how many characters have already run out of road from a storytelling standpoint, season 5 of the acclaimed HBO drama may prove the most book-divergent yet.“This feels totally like a next chapter,” said Maisie Williams of her new wardrobe.

While we wait for ‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 (already renewed for 6, with the cast signed through 7), we know of both returning, confirmed absent, and a multitude of other new characters cast, including those that confirm we’ll be visiting the oft-mentioned kingdom of Dorne, for which Spain will double. As expected, the story will draw heavily from George R.R. Martin‘s fourth and fifth novels, ‘A Feast for Crows’ and ‘A Dance with Dragons,’ while HBO has also provided a list of directors, as well as insight into which literary stories may not make the transition to film.

We won’t see any actual footage or photos until sometime in the new year, but what say you? Does Arya’s new look have you hopeful for the littlest Lady Stark in ‘Game of Thrones’ season 5? Check out the concept design below, and give us your predictions for the newest episodes in the comments!
