'Gangster Squad' Poster Photoshops the Hell Out of Ryan Gosling and Emma StoneBritt Hayes |
'Gangster Squad' was delayed, and it seems Warner Bros. is using this time (un)wisely to do more marketing -- like making this horrible new poster that Photoshops the life right out of all of the actors. How could you do this to Ryan Gosling, you guys?!
All of the people on this poster are attractive enough without Photoshop -- yes, even Sean Penn. But more importantly, why would you Photoshop Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling into oblivion? Are they that terrible to look at? The tagline reads, "No Names. No Badges. No Mercy." We suggest the addition of "No Photoshop Skills."
'Gangster Squad' takes place in 1949 and follows the LAPD as they try to bring down local mob kingpin Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn), a Brooklyn transplant who has everyone in his pocket -- even local cops and politicians. But there's a set of LAPD cops on the outskirts who aren't down with Cohen's criminal activity or the crooked leanings of their colleagues, and it's those guys who are going to take this bad guy down once and for all.
The film stars Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Sean Penn, James Brolin, Nick Nolte, Michael Pena, Robert Patrick and Giovanni Ribisi, and hits theaters on January 11, 2013.
