Ever since the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' trailer brilliantly used Blue Swede's "Hooked on a Feeling" to introduce us to Star-Lord, Drax, Gamora, Groot and Rocket, we've been waiting impatiently to see what else was included on Peter Quill's "Awesome Mix Vol. 1" (also known as the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' soundtrack). Today, we have confirmation on the track listing and it's pretty amazing all these songs have somehow found their way into a big superhero movie.

While the Tyler Bates' score will also be released, what we really want to listen to is the mix tape seen in the film's trailer that Quill listens to using his old Sony Walkman. It's got some of the songs we've heard in the trailers and TV spots ("Spirit in the Sky" and "Cherry Bomb") as well as some new surprises (David Bowie's "Moonage Daydream" and Raspberries "Go All the Way"). It will be very interesting to see how director James Gunn manages to include these songs throughout the course of the movie.

The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' soundtrack is officially available on July 29, but we created a quick YouTube playlist with all the songs below that you can listen to and get a taste of what Star-Lord is listening to out in space.
