Terribly un-"amahzing" news for 'Happy Endings' fans, as it seems all attempts to save the cancelled ABC series on another network has failed, and cast members Zachary Knighton, Casey Wilson, Elisha Cuthbert, Damon Wayans Jr., Eliza Coupe and Adam Pally have all been released from their contracts at Sony TV. Curse you, retrospectively ironic titles!

According to Deadline, today marked the final day within the show's Sony Pictures Television contracts to potentially find a new home, after USA ultimately passed on the prospect. At the time of ABC's decision to cancel the series back in May, USA had seemed a likely prospect given their increased efforts to build an original comedy slate.

Moreover, TBS had been eyed for a potential pickup, much in the way the cable network had moved forward with a fourth, and ultimately fifth season of ABC's similarly discarded 'Cougar Town.' Even NBC had been considered a potential savior, but as you can see, they've got their aim a bit lower for sitcom pickups.

We're curious as to why negotiations with USA ultimately broke down, but at the very least, the talented and diverse cast should have no trouble picking up work on other series, or potentially even films, as in Adam Pally's recent turn in 'Iron Man 3.' Heck, even Zachary Knighton has already popped up on this season of 'Wilfred.'

Well, what say you? Are you sad to see 'Happy Endings' finally lain to rest? What do you think the cast should do now? Give us your favorite 'Happy Endings' moments in the comments, and tell us what you think about the cancellation!
