Train puns full steam ahead, AMC’s Hell on Wheels has admirably chugged on through four seasons, even building a Saturday program block for the network. Cullen Bohannon’s train will reach the station before long however, as AMC has officially lain track for Hell on Wheels’ fifth and final season premiere. Well, sort of.

Per the network’s official announcement, the first seven episodes of Hell on Wheels Season 5 will begin their run on Saturday, July 18. Like Mad Men however, the final season will be divided up to pad out the run, meaning the truly final stretch of track for Hell on Wheels lies ahead in summer 2016.

Behold! There’s even a synopsis:

Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) finds himself a stranger in a strange land — the mountain town of Truckee, Calif., home to the Central Pacific Railroad. This rough railroad town teems with thousands of Chinese workers, foreign in language, culture and traditions.

Despite the challenges of corralling his new workforce, Cullen leads the Herculean effort to tunnel through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, sometimes achieving only inches a day in the race to complete the first Transcontinental Railroad.

We won’t really say goodbye (or pull the lever thingie that makes the train stop, we’re out of puns at this point) to Hell on Wheels until next summer, but are you all-aboard for the final ride on July 18?
