‘How I Met Your Mother’ “The Time Travelers” Sneak Peek: Future Ted is No Bob Saget!

Monday's most recent 'How I Met Your Mother' episode "The Fortress" certainly eased us back into season 8, but next week's "The Time Travelers" really has us scratching our heads in anticipation. We know that Barney and Ted will come face to face with their future selves in an effort to change history, but is it all an elaborate April Fools Day prank? Future Ted might finally make an appearance on this coming Monday's all-new 'How I Met Your Mother,' but don't expect to see Bob Saget ordering a beer at MacLaren's anytime soon. The mind-boggling follow-up to this week's "The Fortress" will see Future Ted and Barney attempting to convince Ted to go to "Robots Vs. Wrestlers" after all, but will the entirety of 'How I Met Your Mother's continuity after season 5 be thrown out of whack?

CBS has released a new sneak peek of the episode that sees Ted coming face to face with the future men, but present-day Barney doesn't seem at all surprised by the time-travel aspects of the episode. Might he be in on the shenanigans, or is it all an elaborate prank? How does Jayma Mays' "coat check girl" figure in? Or Marshall and Robin's dance-off?
