'How I Met Your Mother' season 8 got back on its game big time last night with the all-new episode "P.S. I Love You," returning Robin Sparkles to the fold as the gang witnessed the 1996 meltdown that saw the character's transformation into the edgy "Robin Daggers." And though the joke of Robin (Colbie Smulders) as a Canadian pop princess might have been put to bed, the full-length music video for the track will never die. Putting 'How I Met Your Mother' and 'The Avengers' star Cobie Smulders in grunge garb might have been enough to get our attention, but add in a music video and the recurring "Robin Sparkles" gag, and we're there. Last night's all-new episode "P.S. I Love You" placed what might be considered the final touches on the CBS sitcom's recurring gag, transforming the pop-princess image into a grungy, Alanis Morissette-style singer.

True to form, CBS has released the full music video for "P.S. I Love You," the subject of whom was revealed by last night's episode to be more literal than expected. The track is also available for purchase on iTunes, along with a wealth of other tracks from 'How I Met Your Mother.'

With 'How I Met Your Mother's' season 9 renewal, we may not have seen the last of Robin Sparkles or Robin Daggers, but check out the full video for "P.S. I Love You" below, and tell us what you think in the comments!
