‘How I Met Your Mother’ “Sunrise” Preview: Ted’s Exes Return, and Barney Trains the Next Generation

Earlier today we got our first real look at the 'How I Met Your Mother' spinoff with a full set of character descriptions, but the mothership (no pun intended) series still has plenty of story to tell. It's the final "Sunrise" for Ted, Robin, Barney Marshall and Lily, and we've got the full complement of photos and sneak peeks as Ted and Robin stroll down memory lane, while Barney trains comedy duo BriTANick in his womanizing ways!

The first sneak peek of the latest installment sees Ted and Robin strolling down the beach the night before the wedding, looking back over Ted's history of exes, from Victoria to Stella, but dollars to doughnuts, their own lingering feelings will return to the forefront as well. Elsewhere, Barney drunkenly stumbles out of the Farhampton inn, encountering a few familiar faces on the road in an effort to cram in one more legendary night.

"Sunrise" — While out looking for an inebriated Barney on the day of the wedding, Robin and Ted reminisce about past relationships. Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily finally resolve their issues and Barney befriends two young guys eager to meet women.

The series certainly earned back a bit of good grace from the most recent installments "Unpause" and landmark 200th episode "How Your Mother Met Me," but will "Sunrise" make for clear skies ahead?
