If you’ve seen Guardians of the Galaxy, you know and love Baby Groot and his dancing antics in the closing credits. But did you know Groot’s moves were based on the dancing of director James Gunn? It’s true. And that’s just one of the galaxy-spanning facts featured in the newest episode of You Think You Know Movies!

Before Gunn became one of Marvel’s most popular filmmakers, he got his start at the indie exploitation studio Troma; his first script, Tromeo & Juliet, earned him just $150. In addition to his curious dance moves, James Gunn also has a unique way of motivating his cast and crew: Play-Doh. Whenever someone on set does something he really appreciates or likes, Gunn gives them a jar of Play-Doh. Gunn claims that he keeps the stuff around because the smell reminds him of pure childhood creativity. Anyway, if James Gunn ever gives you a jar of Play-Doh, congratulations. You’ve done something right.
