‘The Expendables 2′ Interview: Star Jean-Claude Van Damme!

A classic action film needs a classic villain, so for the second installment in his ‘Expendables’ franchise, Sylvester Stallone invited an iconic figure from the beloved ‘80s and ‘90s action films he is referring, Jean-Claude Van Damme, to join the fun as the central antagonist.

In ‘The Expendables 2’ Van Damme plays the aptly named Jean Vilain, a dangerous man who ruthlessly slaughters one of the Expendables and is, as such, hunted down by the team and a few of their friends.

We had the opportunity to speak with the actor recently about what it takes to create a memorable villain, weapons envy and the greatest action stars of all time.
