It seems that the folks over at Warner Bros. are quite pleased with Zack Snyder's work because the studio has just officially signed the 'Man of Steel' and 'Batman vs. Superman' director to direct the upcoming 'Justice League' film, as well. That's going to keep him -- and presumably Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck -- pretty busy for a while.

The Wall Street Journal broke the news, which became official as of today, though there had been rumblings last week: Warner Bros. has signed Snyder on to direct the upcoming 'Justice League' film as his follow-up to 'Batman vs. Superman' (or whatever the official title of that film will be). It's pretty safe to assume 'Man of Steel' star Henry Cavill will once again don the costume as Clark Kent/Superman, with Ben Affleck returning as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman in 'Batman vs. Superman,' and Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg, should also be expected to join them.

WB's Worldwide President of Production Greg Silverman said that the film will be "a further expansion of this universe," and that the upcoming 'Man of Steel' sequel will lead directly into the 'Justice League' movie. We can't wait to see what that post-credits tease looks like, assuming they have any additional casting done at that point in time.

Unfortunately, prospects for the 'Wonder Woman' film aren't so great, as the studio says they haven't found the right script for the female superhero's standalone film just yet.
