Well, we figured that Kelsey Grammer would need to find something to do after Starz opted not to go through with a third season of political drama 'Boss,' but this isn't exactly what we had in mind. According to new reports, unusually-matched celebrities Grammer and 'Big Momma's House' star Martin Lawrence are looking into the possibility of developing a sitcom together with Lionsgate TV, but what could the series possibly portray? And what might it have to do with FX's 'Anger Management?'

Bizarre news rounding out the day today, as we've just learned from Deadline that former 'Boss' and 'Frasier' star Kelsey Grammer could soon return to his sitcom roots, producing and starring in a new sitcom for Lionsgate TV with 'In Living Color' legend Martin Lawrence. Reportedly, the idea had come about in November, but was kept under wraps to avoid entanglement in Kelsey's divorce from wife Camille Grammer.

It isn't yet established what the untitled sitcom would focus on, apart from pairing Grammer and Lawrence in an 'Odd Couple' sort of dynamic, though writers and show-runners are being sought to pin down a concept. It's also possible that the series would follow a similar production model to 'Anger Management,' initially airing 10 episodes before exploring a pickup for an additional 90 for syndication purposes.

What do you think? Would Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence make for an effective comedy pair? Where do you think the series would be best to end up? Give us your take in the comments!
