'Killing Them Softly' Gets a Bold New Poster

EDIT

The Weinstein Company

Take a good whiff because the fall movie season is just around the corner, and boy does it smell great. Among the many titles that have us tingling with anticipation is The Weinstein Company's new movie 'Killing Them Softly.' Sadly this new poster doesn't do the film any justice.

Once in a while some random studio or production company will come out with a poster that doesn't belong. What we mean by that is it looks like somebody photo-shopped it together within the span of ten minutes. It looks dull, sloppy and just flat out unprofessional. Unfortunately 'Killing Them Softly' suffers the same fate as many movies before it with their latest poster. Even the font is just plain wrong. It doesn't fit any sort of mood or style that the movie encompasses. Instead it merely shows how much in a rush they were to put some sort of a poster together in time for the Toronto International Film Festival.

'Killing Them Softly' stars Brad Pitt as an enforcer trying to track down three men who robbed a mob-protected card game and restore balance to the seedy world. The rest of the cast includes Ray Liotta, Richard Jenkins, James Gandolfini, Ben Mendelsohn and Scoot McNairy. The picture will be out in theaters this October 19th. Now go ahead and check out the poster:
