Liam Neeson is finally combining his specific set of action skills with his comedic talents to give us what we’ve all been waiting for: a Liam Neeson action comedy. The actor has signed on to star in The Revenger for Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer, based on a pitch from Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant.

Per Deadline, Neeson will star in The Revenger based on an idea from Lennon and Garant, the writers behind the Night at the Museum franchise and Reno 911. No plot details have been revealed at this time, but the project is described as an action comedy, which will allow Neeson to use his renowned skill set while also showing off a bit of his funnier side. Neeson is no stranger to comedy, having appeared in Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West and Ted 2. He also lent his voice to Good Cop / Bad Cop in The LEGO Movie and has appeared on shows like Life’s Too Short and Family Guy.

But Neeson has strangely never combined these two talents into one film, making The Revenger an exciting concept that may even allow Neeson to dig into self-aware territory. The film is being directed by Ruben Fleischer, who previously helmed Zombieland and Gangster Squad.
