The end is almost here. With Spider-Man: Homecoming in the rear-view mirror, Marvel Studios came to Comic-Con 2017 entering the home stretch of Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Naturally, they brought the stars and creators of Thor: RagnarokBlack Panther, and the massive Avengers: Infinity War, which truly starts the final phase of Phase Three: Ant-Man and the WaspCaptain Marvel, and the still-untitled fourth Avengers, which in Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige’s words, is “the conclusion of a 22-movie saga.” No one really knows what happens after that. A straightforward Phase Four? Some kind of massive Marvel movie reboot? The cancelation of every single existing Marvel franchise and their replacement with DarkhawkU.S. 1SleepwalkerFantastic Force, and Death’s Head?

Admittedly, that last option is somewhat unlikely. Regardless, the stakes were high, and the anticipation from fans was even higher, for Marvel’s 2017 Comic-Con panel. We’ve gotten reports from folks who waited outside in the San Diego sun since Friday morning for the Saturday night event who still got shut out of Hall H. That’s absolutely insane. If you, like the vast majority of people in San Diego, couldn’t get into witness the fun for yourself, here’s...

Everything Revealed During Marvel’s Comic-Con 2017 Panel:

-A video featuring Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd and Michael Pena recapped the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

-The first bit of news: The announcement of who is playing Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp in Ant-Man and the Wasp. And it’s Catwoman herself, Michelle Pfeiffer. “She was our dream choice when making the first film,” Marvel’s Kevin Feige said of the announcement.

-More Ant-Man casting news: Laurence Fishburne is playing Dr. Bill Foster. Foster has had a long history at Marvel Comics and at various times has gotten his hands on Hank Pym’s shrinking and growing technology to become a superhero himself, with code names like Goliath and Giant-Man.

-Next, the panel turned to Captain Marvel news. This is huge: The film is actually a period piece, set before the events of Iron Man, the first MCU movie. And the villains of the movie will be the shape-changing alien race known as the Skrulls.

-There was also some new concept art from the film:

-Next the cast of the next Marvel movie, Thor: Ragnarok took the stage. Describing this particular sequel, Chris Hemsworth said “[Thor] gets his ass kicked in this film.”

-Mark Ruffalo said that Hulk “refuses” to turn back into Bruce Banner in the movie. “He’s enjoying his time on Sakaar.” They described Hulk now talking like a child with the vocabulary of a two-year-old.

-Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster character is revealed as the brother of Benicio Del Toro’s The Collector from Guardians of the Galaxy. The Grandmaster rules Sakaar and puts together gladiator games for fun, hence Thor and Hulk’s fight.

-Various clips from Thor: Ragnarok were shown. In one, Goldblum’s Grandmaster says of Thor "He's wonderful. He is a he, right?" Another showed off Korg, a large alien rock monster who befriends the Hulk.

-And then we got the new Thor trailer:

-There’s a new Thor poster too!

-That wrapped up the Thor portion of the panel; Black Panther was up next.

-There was a Black Panther reel shown as well, but it wasn’t posted online. It included a scene set at a casino and a look at Black Panther’s new costume, which “transforms around him.” The footage got a standing ovation.

-A new Black Panther poster was revealed as well.

-With Black Panther done, it was time to talk about Avengers: Infinity War. Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, and Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo took the stage to show off some footage. This was the same reel that played last weekend at D23. Not surprisingly, the crowd loved it.

-And that was it! Go watch the Thor trailer 10 more times. Is it November 3 yet?

-Keep refreshing for more updates from the Marvel Comic-Con Panel.
