‘Modern Seinfeld’ Twitter Parody Brings Jerry & The Gang Into the 21st Century

‘Seinfeld‘ has been on a roll of late, with ’60 Minutes’ naming it as the best sitcom of all time, Michael Richards making a long-awaited return to television in new sitcom ‘Giant Baby,’ and even Jason Alexander guesting in one of our personal favorites, ‘Community.’ And while the ‘Curb Your Enthuisasm’ reunion arc is about as close as we’d ever get to a true ‘Seinfeld’ reunion, new Twitter parody account ‘Modern Seinfeld’ tells us exactly what Jerry, George, Kramer and Elaine would get up to in 2012. Take a look inside!
George obsessing over Facebook likes? Jerry buying a smart car? Kramer creating a Kickstarter for dog tasers? All these and more can be found in the hot new Twitter parody account buzzing around the internet today, the aptly titled ‘Modern Seinfeld.’ Set in the vain of fictional TV show Twitters like ‘TNG Season 8,’ the ‘Seinfeld’ account imagines the four iconic characters dealing with modern troubles like Facebook, Trader Joe’s and auto-correct.
Though only created a matter of hours ago, the account has already garnered over 22,000 followers with no more than 39 tweets. Obviously, no such modern ‘Seinfeld’ can ever exist, and rightly so, but we could easily see Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer doing exactly all of these.
Check out some of our favorites from ‘Modern Seinfeld’ below, and head to the account to check out the rest!
