Alec Baldwin's post '30 Rock' future has always proved something of a mystery, with persistent rumors of a political career as the actor continues his run on Broadway's 'Orphans,' but could his own late-night talk show be in the works? Jimmy Fallon's 'Tonight Show' promotion will definitely shake up NBC's late-night stable, so find out if Jack Donaghy Alec Baldwin is next in line for late-night inside!

Recently, the long-standing debate of NBC's late-night lineup came to a major milestone as Jimmy Fallon was announced to take over 'The Tonight Show' from Jay Leno in 2014, while 'SNL' veteran Seth Meyers remains the rumored frontrunner to take over NBC's 'Late Night' from Fallon. Now, an NBC executive reportedly told The New York Times that NBC's late night will soon receive another major jolt, as former '30 Rock' star Alec Baldwin has entered negotiations for his own talk show.

Talks remain in the preliminary stages, but Baldwin would likely take over the slot currently filled by Carson Daly's 'Last Call.' The move is seen as a natural progression for the Emmy-winning star, as Baldwin remains a favorite guest of late-night hosts and currently maintains a New York podcast with WNYC radio called “Here’s the Thing,” on which Baldwin has interviewed David Letterman, Kristen Wiig, Chris Rock, Lena Dunham and others.

Well, what say you? Do you think Alec Baldwin would make a good host for a late-night talk show? Who would you like to see in NBC's future lineup?
