It's been a good long while since we've heard anything from the front of 'Lilyhammer,' what with discussions of Netflix's more breakout original entries like 'House of Cards' and 'Orange Is the New Black.' At long last, however, it seems the Steve Van Zandt ('The Sopranos')-starring 'Lilyhammer' season 2 has a December premiere date and a brand-new trailer to back it up.

“The second season of 'Lilyhammer' is an amped up ride that gives us Steven Van Zandt at his glorious, baddest, best,” said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix. “Whether you enjoyed season one or are catching it for the first time, 'Lilyhammer' is a mob show like no other.”

For those unfamiliar with the series, 'Lilyhammer' follows former gangster Frank Tagliano (Van Zandt) as he enters the federal witness protection to relocate from New York to Norway, making a new, but familiar life for himself among the locals of Lillehammer. The second season picks up with Frank still living under the name of Johnny Henriksen, a successful nightclub owner and father of two. This time around, life as a father and mob boss becomes complicated when his former mob associates find out he is still alive.

The new season of 'Lilyhammer' will debut on Netflix in its entirety on December 13, so check out the brand-new NSFW season 2 trailer above, and tell us in the comments if you're anxious to catch up with the icy mob series!
