New 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' Spot Sells Big Action and Goofy HumorJacob Hall |
Sure, 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' may feature tons of big, explosive action, but a newly spot has us more interested in the dynamic between Dwayne Johnson and Channing Tatum, who come off like a well-honed comedy team instead of American super soldiers. Can this movie be as funny as it is exciting? We certainly hope so. See for yourself below.
After an introduction from Johnson (who can make, dry studio-mandated statements sound effortlessly charming), the spot jumps into a very funny exchange between the two stars. As always, The Rock is a truly charismatic figure and Tatum is naturally funny, which has us excited to see them in action. After the opening, the spot is more of the same, with all of the Joes kicking ass, taking names and blowing plenty of stuff up.
After multiple delays, 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' opens on March 28th. We'll be first in line.
