Sandra Bullock, who has made a career out of being Hollywood's good girl, is about to become a supervillain. The Oscar-winning actress has signed on to voice Scarlet Overkill, a woman with an ambition for world domination in 'Minions,' the upcoming animated spinoff of the 'Despicable Me' movies. So how are they going to make a movie all about the little sidekick characters who can't even speak? Let's find out.

Deadline reports that Bullock will star in 'Minions' as the film's new villain, but remember that in the world of 'Despicable Me,' being a villain is sometimes a good thing. The film will reveal that the Minions are creatures who have been around since the beginning of time and 'Minions' takes place in the 1960s when there are no more supervillains left to serve. They attend a supervillain convention (of course), where they meet Scarlet Overkill, an Aubrey Hepburn-inspired character bent on becoming the first female supervillain and taking over the world.

Whether she's actually evil or just Gru-style evil remains to be seen.

So far Bullock is the only actor attached to voice the film seeing as how most of the characters will be the chirpy, gibberish-speaking Minions played by directors Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud. Will it be tough to follow a film where the audience can't understand the characters? (Oh, who really needs to understand the Minions anyway...)

'Despicable Me 2' hits theaters on July 3, 2013 and 'Minions' is already scheduled for release on December 19, 2014.
