As one of Comic-Con’s oldest guests, Sideshow Collectibles has one of the largest footprints at the annual San Diego event of any exhibitor. It’s a good thing too, because Sideshow hosts works from a number of companies it helps distribute in the States, as well as putting on a showcase for its own products. This year’s offerings ran the gamut from the comic book worlds of Marvel and DC, to the cinematic universes of both, with a healthy dose of Star Wars interspersed to keep things groovy.

Sideshow’s Star Wars offerings have always been extravagant, but the company keeps finding new ways to outdo itself year after year. Case in point, the life-size Death Trooper statue, and the life-size Boba Fett and Stormtrooper busts. Nothing lets people entering your house know you’re a Star Wars fan (with a lot of expendable cash) like having one of these monuments to that galaxy far, far away on display. And if you're one of those folks that can afford the life-size K-2SO statue, I would like you to know that I am your long-lost brother.

Baby Groot has already taken over the world, but his plans for domination will continue well into the next year when Sideshow’s maquette of the diminutive wooded alien arrives. By then the Thanos statue featuring the purple demigod atop his throne may be out as well, giving you the perfect one-two punch of Guardians of the Galaxy goodness.

It's not all big-name stars at Sideshow’s booth however, and even more cult-classics like Heavy Metal’s Taarna get a little love from the California company. It’s rare for something like Heavy Metal to get collectibles on this scale, and this one is no joke. You’ve gotta be a super-fan though to want to invest in a statue of Taarna, and have to deal with people coming over to your house asking who she is all the time.

You can check out even more of Sideshow Collectibles' reveals over on its official blog, or at booth #1929 at SDCC.
