This past weekend's 'SNL' with Kristen Wiig drew heavily on nostalgia, but it seems we didn't know which performer's absence would truly soon be felt. In advance of the season finale with Ben Affleck and Kanye West, 'SNL' veteran Bill Hader has revealed his intent to leave the series, but who might also leave behind the late-night, sketch comedy?

Between Stefon, James Carville and Al Pacino, 'SNL' is going to be in need of some new recurring favorites. Via The New York Times, we've learned that longtime 'SNL' star Bill Hader has officially decided to depart the long-running NBC sketch comedy series, saying, “It was a hard decision, but it has to happen at some point. It got to a point where I said, ‘Maybe it’s just time to go.’”

While Hader had been a member of the 'SNL' cast since 2005, less clear is the fate of fellow veterans Jason Sudeikis and Fred Armisen, whose departures have long been rumored among the 'SNL' players. “I don’t think so," said series manager Lorne Michaels. "I think they’re making their decisions and we’ll know soon enough.” Writer/"Weekend Update" host Seth Meyers will naturally depart the series to fill Jimmy Fallon's old 'Late Night' slot beginning this fall.

Hader claims fans shouldn't expect a lengthy goodbye in the manner of Kristen Wiig's exit, but what say you? Will you be sad to see Bill Hader finally depart the 'SNL' cast? How should Saturday's Ben Affleck-hosted finale send him off? Check out some of Hader's best below:
