'SNL' made something of a curious choice in picking rap artist Drake for their first host of 2014, acting as both ringleader and musical guest for the evening, but the long-running NBC sketch comedy series' second choice of the year feels much more on point. 'Wolf of Wall Street' and '22 Jump Street' star Jonah Hill will return to the 'SNL' stage on January 25, but who will join as musical guest?

According to NBC, the second outing of the year will see U.K. band Bastille making their debut alongside Hill, who himself most recently hosted in March 2012 for '21 Jump Street.' As previously mentioned, 'Degrassi' alum Drake will kick off the 2014 'SNL' year on Janary 18, his first time as host beyond a 2011 appearance as the musical act opposite Anna Faris.

Apart from all his Oscar buzz, Hill may end up a bit overshadowed by the most recent ‘SNL’ headlines, which suggest studio boss Lorne Michaels will have added ‘SNL”s new black female cast member to the ensemble by January’s premiere, presumably the first installment. Michaels has held auditions in both Los Angeles and New York, for which Deadline claims the pool of hopefuls have emerged as Bresha Webb, Tanisha Long, Misty Monroe, Gabrielle Dennis, Amber Ruffin, Leslie Jones, Sasheer Zamata, Natasha Rothwell, Briana KC and Erica Ash.

Well, what say you? We like Jonah Hill's last hosting run, but will his be the best 'SNL' of the new year to date? Check out a highlight of Hill from last time, and give us your 'SNL' 2014 wish list in the comments!
