Sad as it might be that Starz' epic 'Spartacus' saga will come to an end after only three seasons with 'Spartacus: War of the Damned' next year, everything we've seen of the forthcoming bloodbath has us ready to swear our loyalty to the armies of Spartacus.  As his legend and history would dictate, 'Spartacus: War of The Damned' is set to be the biggest year yet in size and scope, so how would you like a peek at the action?

Thanks to HuffpostTV, today we've gotten our best look yet at 'Spartacus: War of the Damned,' the final year for Starz epic historical saga to debut in early 2013.  With brand new heroes, villains, and an entire army to wage war with, the scope of the season has grown considerably, in particular the set.  Whereas 'Blood and Sand' and 'Vengeance' frequently operated around a few solitary buildings, 'War of the Damned' features near of an entire city, including battlefields to be filled in by CG.

In addition to the casting of actresses Anna Hutchinson, Jenna Lind and Gwendoline Taylor, ‘Spartacus: War of the Damned’ will also feature the introduction of two major villains, that of Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells), with a young Julius Caesar (Todd Lasance) by his side.  The extensive additions fill the void left by departed actors Lucy Lawless (Lucretia), Viva Bianca (Ilithyia), Craig Parker (Glaber), Peter Mensah (Oenomaus), Katrina Law (Mira) and Nick E. Tarabay (Ashur).

The video below will give you snippets of new footage, as well as some of the new cast members in action, so take a look and tell us what you're hoping for from 'Spartacus: War of the Damned' in the comments!
