The time to hide in the shadows and shoot out light bulbs once more is nigh, as the release date for Splinter Cell: Blacklist approaches swiftly, but silently. Fans of Splinter Cell should be elated by the return of Sam Fisher and his awesome stealth badassery. This time, he'll be accompanied by Isaac Briggs, who adds his own brand of awesomeness to the new co-op trailer.

The trailer shows off the game's co-op mode, letting Fisher and Briggs act as one unit, capable of clearing out a room of baddies like one well-oiled death machine.

Co-op mode will take players and their buddies on 4 mission types across 14 maps with 2-play split-screen, just to make sure they're truly working well together.

The game itself will drop on August 20th, 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. Watch the trailer above and let us know if you'll be grabbing a friend to go on some covert ops missions.
