Star Wars Celebration is heading to Europe this year, but if you’re a particularly huge fan of the franchise with enough money to spare for a geeky vacation, then it might just be worth the trek to London next month. The latest addition to the festival lineup is a special “Future Filmmakers” panel featuring Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, Episode VIII director Rian Johnson and more — and yes, there will be some surprises.

StarWars.com has revealed the addition of the new panel, which will be hosted by Lucasfilm Story Group’s Pablo Hidalgo on Sunday, July 17. Hidalgo will be joined by Kathleen Kennedy, Star Wars producer Kiri Hart and Episode VIII director Rian Johnson, as well as Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the duo behind the upcoming young Han Solo spinoff.

The site describes the panel as a “must-see event” that’s “sure to include some surprises,” and while we can only speculate, you have to imagine that will include a special sneak peek of some kind for Episode VIII and perhaps some cool new info about the Han Solo film — like an official title and / or more casting announcements. Absent from the list is Episode IX director Colin Trevorrow, and although Lucasfilm has yet to hire a woman to direct a future Star Wars film, it’s good to see Hart joining Kennedy & Co. for the panel.

As it’s called the “Future Filmmakers” panel, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for another director announcement, perhaps regarding a third Star Wars Story anthology film.

Star Wars Celebration runs from July 15 to 17 at the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre.
