If you thought the time for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ speculation had passed, you were wrong. We still don’t know much about J.J. Abrams’ mysterious first installment in the new trilogy, and while that first teaser did give us an idea about what we can expect visually, it didn’t provide context for much of what we were seeing. Speculation continues to run rampant, as do rumors, like the latest one that allegedly reveals who Domhnall Gleeson is playing in the film—and it’s kind of a big deal character.

Obviously, if you’d rather not be (potentially) spoiled on ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,’ turn back now because SPOILERS are coming:

We’ve known for some time that Luke Skywalker and Leia’s children factor into the movie, though we haven’t known who’s playing them. According to Making Star Wars, they’ve confirmed with four different sources that Gleeson is actually playing Luke’s son, which is an incredibly vital role. Lucasfilm and Disney haven’t confirmed the info (as they haven’t confirmed much that’s been reported), so take it with a pinch of salt.

Gleeson’s character is rumored to be an Imperial Commander, who sends Stormtroopers after Finn (John Boyega). He also gives intel to the bad guys in the movie, and if you think that doesn’t seem right given his parentage, you’d be correct: according to the report, Gleeson’s character is playing for both sides to aid in his ultimate goal of disarming the galaxy and ridding it of all its destructive weapons. The report adds:

The implications of Gleeson’s actions are supposedly huge in the film. He began this mission before his father went missing. When he succeeds in ending the Intergalactic Cold War by stopping the weapons of galaxy wide destruction he doesn’t anticipate the immediate consequences. The cost?  He opens up a new front and the war turns hot as there is nothing to keep the peace with mutually assured destruction no longer on the table. The real war then begins and the fight for the control of planets and territory begins, causing a conflict the storytellers hope will lead to countless Star Wars tales for years to come.

Again, this isn’t officially confirmed, and rumors have been off before—while this could very well describe one character in the film, without official confirmation, we can’t be completely sure that it’s Gleeson’s character; it could be one of his many co-stars.

Hopefully we’ll learn a little more when the new trailer for ‘The Force Awakens’ arrives with ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ on May 1. ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ hits theaters on December 18.
