Not much is known about Gareth EdwardsStar Wars anthology film Rogue One — it currently stars Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker and Diego Luna, and Ben Mendelsohn is most likely playing the villain (although the actor maintains he’s still unsure if he’s in it). We’ve also heard that bounty hunters are involved, and the latest rumor about Felicity Jones’ role in the film definitely supports that…if it’s true.

Heroic Hollywood’s Umberto Gonzalez dropped by Meet the Movie Press, where he revealed a bit of info he’s heard in regards to Rogue One — namely that Jones is playing the role of Boba Fett’s daughter. That’s in keeping with previous reports we’ve heard about the film’s plot, which is said to involve bounty hunters and a heist targeted at the Death Star plans.

This should be taken with a grain of salt, of course. Jones could be playing a different bounty hunter unrelated to Boba Fett, since that character was aligned with the Empire and Jones is presumably playing a protagonist. Or maybe his daughter is a loose cannon and allies herself with a secret rebellion. Who knows.

It’s all speculation for the time being as Disney and Lucasfilm revealed virtually nothing about Rogue One at Comic-Con — they did, however, confirm that director Gareth Edwards was set to begin shooting in a few weeks (which means he’s shooting right now).

While Mendelsohn’s casting has yet to be officially confirmed, we’ll likely learn more about Rogue One this month during D23.

Star Wars: Rogue One hits theaters on December 16, 2016.
