It’s been some time since we had any significant updates on Bryan Fuller’s Starz adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, and Shadow Moon is at last rising. Following word of an SXSW premiereAmerican Gods now sets its official Starz debut for late April, with some fresh key art to boot.

Starz officially confirms that American Gods will premiere Sunday, April 30 at 9:00 P.M., over a month after its March 11 SXSW presentation. In lieu of a fresh trailer, American Gods at least makes an offering of new artwork:

For those unfamiliar with Sandman creator Neil Gaiman’s novel, American Gods follows ex-convict Shadow Moon, who partners up with mysterious con-man Mr. Wednesday (secretly a god himself), becoming embroiled in a battle between classic mythological gods who have fallen out of style, and the “new” American gods based on greed, technology and celebrity.

We’ll likely hear more official news soon, but watch the first American Gods trailer below.
