CBS president Les Moonves fielded a number of questions today from the ongoing TCA press tour panels, including some controversial remarks about The CW operating at something of a loss. Regardless of the financials however, there's good news for CW fans as 'Supernatural,' 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'The Originals' have all been given earlier premieres, while the 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' revival has been confirmed for a second season.

Via TVLine, we've learned that the season 5 premiere of 'The Vampire Diaries' and its brand-new bouncing baby spinoff 'The Originals will debut on Thursday, October 3, a full week earlier than expected. On October 8, 'The Originals' will then move into its regular time slot of 8:00 P.M. Tuesdays, leading into the 'Supernatural' season 9 premiere, which itself had originally been scheduled for October 15.

Meanwhile, The CW has opted to renew its 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' revival for an additional season of 24 episodes, presumably to debut in 2014. "It's clear that viewers are as excited to have Whose Line back on the air as we are,” CW president Mark Pedowitz said of the revived series, starring Aisha Tyler and original cast members Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles. "We have wanted to bring comedy back to The CW for a long time, and Aisha, Wayne, Colin and Ryan have brought funny to the network in a big way. We’re very excited to have them back for another season."

More CW news is expected as the day goes on, but in the meantime, tell us if you're happy to have 'Supernatural' back a week earlier, or 'Whose Line' for another season!
