We've heard quite a bit about 'The Simpsons'' twenty-fifth season, from its rich vein of celebrity guest stars, to the 'Homeland' parody that gripped this past Sunday's premiere, but is the spectre of death once again lurking about Springfield? Like Maude Flanders before, it seems one long-running 'Simpsons' character has been targeted for a permanent exit for the aging animation staple.

Though we got to see the sequence in full at Comic-Con 2013, Guillermo del Toro's contribution to 'The Simpsons'' upcoming Halloween special, "Treehouse of Horror XXIV," might make the episode the scariest yet. The visual horror master dug through the vaults to present an extended opening sequence chock full of classic monsters and those of his own design, so who made the cut?
We'd be hard pressed to think of anyone topping 'SNL''s brilliant 'Homeland' parody with Anne Hathaway, but 'The Simpsons' will give it its best shot. The long-running FOX animation staple's season 25 premiere on September 29 will see 'SNL' vet Kristen Wiig guest as an FBI agent suspiciously similar to 'Homeland''s Carrie Matheson, the first clip of which hits the manic nail right on the head.
Twenty-five seasons on the air, we'd imagine 'The Simpsons' to have covered just about everything under and shielded from the sun, but it seems our favorite Springfield family has at least one new animation style to boldly go: LEGO! Along with the recent announcement of 'Simpsons'-themed LEGO products, it seems the series itself will get the brick and block treatment in 2014!
It remains to be seen if Amy Poehler will reprise her role opposite Tina Fey as co-host of the 2014 Golden Globes, but we at least know one other gig the 'Parks and Recreation' star will return to in the near future. 'The Simpsons' upcoming 25th season has tapped Amy Poehler to return to her futuristic role as Bart's wife, but who might the character have her eyes on this time around?
After years of sharing the same block on Fox Sunday nights, 'The Simpsons' and 'Family Guy' are finally doing something that no one ever expected: they're crossing over. To be more specific, an upcoming episode of 'Family Guy' will see Peter Griffin and his family stumble into the town of Springfield, where they encounter the Simpson family.
The madness of Comic-Con 2013 is only days away, and FOX has made its biggest push to promote the 10+ series on display with some seriously collectible new posters. Among the exclusive art on display for FOX's future lineup, we have fresh posters for 'Bones,' 'Family Guy,' 'The Following' and more, along with major new FOX presences like 'Sleepy Hollow' and J.J. Abrams' 'Almost Human!'
Still going strong after 24 seasons, 'The Simpsons' remains as relevant as ever with its ever-growing cavalcade of guest stars, and more recently, a life-size replica of Springfield landmarks at Universal Studios. Also keeping the show's magic alive will be 'Harry Potter' franchise lead Daniel Radcliffe, returning to the program for a second time to lend voice to an episode this fall.
FOX has officially joined the ranks of broadcast networks to release their fall 2013-2014 premiere schedule, leaving ABC the lone holdout. Among the bigger changes on deck for the network, 'The X-Factor' will debut over two nights with a solid four hours, while 'Bones' moves to Fridays in November, and the much buzzed-about '24' revival '24: Live Another Day' has a semi-official premiere date set for May 2014.
