Those rumors from a few months back have (thankfully) proven true, as it would appear that Steven Soderbergh is plotting his first feature film since 2013. Titled Logan Lucky, the heist film reunites Soderbergh with Magic Mike star Channing Tatum, and although Michael Shannon has unfortunately dropped out of the project, a few more actors have joined the lineup.

In a bit of news that will shock absolutely no one, Paramount is reportedly eyeing an awards season release date for Martin Scorsese's new film. Though we've yet to see a trailer — or even an official plot synopsis — for the director's long-developing passion project, we do know that it's definitely hitting theaters sometime this year. And now we might have a better idea of when.

It shouldn’t be very surprising that a guy who killed his own father in cold blood is a dark, effed up dude. Yet, this latest news about Kylo Ren somehow paints a picture of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens villain as even more disturbing than we originally thought.

There’s a Hollywood way of thinking when it comes to franchises and reboots: Give the audience more of the same, but…different. Stick to what fans love about the original property, while also giving them something a little new. The same concept could be translated to personal growth throughout our 20s: We remain the same, but ever-so-slightly change over time. That change comes at the speed of molasses as we resentfully trudge through maturity, much like the women of HBO’s Girls. Season 5 brings some change, sure, but it is mostly more of the same — not that that’s a bad thing.

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Adam Driver hosting 2016’s first episode of SNL, a Kylo Ren sketch of some kind was inevitable. After all, you don't get the actor who plays the villain in one of the biggest movies of all time to appear on your comedy variety show and not have him reprise that character. And we'll give the show this much: we never would have predicted a faux episode of Undercover Boss set on Starkiller Base, with the angry, murderous Kylo Ren going undercover amongst his troops as a radar technician named Matt.

Adam Driver is kind of a big deal right now, in case you didn’t know. As the new baddie in the Star Wars universe, Driver went from indie favorite to blockbuster star almost overnight, which is a relief because I’ve been on his bandwagon for the last few years and it’s been a little lonely over here. Driver made his SNL debut this weekend in the first episode of 2016, delivering a consistently wonderful episode that tackles everything from cat videos to Kylo Ren and...porn doctors.
